When using a front-load washer, you should use 1/3-1/2 less detergent than a top-load washer and use detergent with an HE rating only.

Try not to cram in as many clothes as will fit in a front-load washer; The washers are more efficient with a few less clothes in them.
If you’re unsure at what wash setting your garment should be cleaned, the safe bet is cold water on a gentle cycle.
